Brilliant trip - the attention to detail and little extras made such a difference - highly recommended! Rachael, Australia
Explore the stunning islands of Tonga by Polynesian-style outrigger canoe.
You have just found the perfect holiday to rejuvenate your body, mind and soul.
Imagine this… gliding across crystal clear waters, amazing reefs rich in sea life just below the surface. You are paddling a Polynesian-style outrigger canoe to an uninhabited island to camp the night under the starry Tongan skies. On your way you'll probably meet some turtles, a few dolphins, watch frenzied birds feeding on unsuspecting tuna, and at the right time of year, see migrating humpback whales up close. Visit the haunting Swallows Cave and swim into its glassy depths.
This is Outriggers in Paradise - and you are invited to come and play with us in our tropical paradise - paddle outrigger canoes by morning, explore islands and snorkel reefs during the afternoon, and enjoy local seafood and the Tongan culture by night.
Tonga is one of those places we all dream about. Countless deserted islands; the bluest lagoons you'll ever see; isolated sandy beaches; crystal clear waters flaunting thousands of stunning reefs - and a very laid back way of life. The best way to really experience this paradise is by outrigger canoe tour.
Where is Vava'u?
The Vava'u Group of islands is located north of the main Tongatapu Group. The flight here will have you salivating as your plane window frames one of the most amazing views in the world. When you arrive in Vava'u you will immediately forget about all the pressures back home. Time is not something you think about in Vava'u - it's almost stopped here.
Tonga is one of the few places remaining in the world where it is legal to swim with whales. If you're visiting during their migration season, you may find yourself having a close encounter with the majestic humpback whale!
We create opportunities for adventure and fun that respect the environment, culture and lives of the people of Tonga.
